About this product
A two-channel ESD protection TVS diode array in a SOT23-6 package, designed to shield USB data lines and VBUS from electrostatic discharge and voltage surges. Its very low line capacitance (3.5pF max) and low leakage current (150nA max) help preserve signal integrity on fast data lines. It meets IEC 61000-4-2 level 4, rated at 15 kV air and 8 kV contact discharge.

Frequently asked questions
Where should I place it in a USB circuit?
Place it as close as possible to the USB connector, on the D+ and D- lines and on VBUS, with its ground pin connected to a solid ground. Check the pin mapping in the datasheet, as the I/O and VBUS pins are not in simple sequence on SOT23-6.
Can it protect 3.3V data lines as well as 5V lines?
Yes. Its 5V working voltage suits both 3.3V and 5V data lines. It is an ESD and surge clamp rather than a voltage regulator, so it does not limit a steady overvoltage on the line.
