About this product
USBasp is a low-cost USB in-circuit programmer for Atmel AVR microcontrollers, based on Thomas Fischl's open USBasp design. An ATmega8 handles the USB interface and the rest is done in firmware. It works with avrdude on Linux and macOS without a driver, while Windows Vista and newer need a USBasp driver.
