Frequently asked questions
Can I drill FR4 boards with this bit?
Yes. Carbide is recommended for fibreglass PCB material, which dulls standard steel bits quickly. Use a rotary tool or CNC at high speed with light feed pressure, and do not force the bit.
Why is this bit fragile?
Tungsten carbide is very hard but brittle, so it can snap if it is bent or forced. Keep the bit straight in the chuck and clear chips from the hole regularly.
