An 8 A, 600 V bidirectional triac from ON Semiconductor in a TO-220 package, used to switch AC loads with a small gate pulse. It is suited to lamp dimmers, small fan control and low-power AC heater switching. Add a snubber for inductive loads.

How do I wire the BTA08 to control an AC load?
