About this product
A 3-wire mains transformer with a 220V AC primary and a 24-0-24V AC centre-tapped secondary rated at 3A. The centre tap gives 24V AC between each end and the centre wire, and 48V AC across the two ends. It is used to provide low-voltage AC in electronics, control circuits and rectifier projects.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get DC from this transformer?
The AC output must be rectified, for example with a bridge rectifier followed by a filter capacitor. The DC voltage after rectification is higher than the AC RMS value, roughly 1.4 times before diode drops, so plan your regulator and capacitor ratings accordingly.
Can I use it on 110V mains?
No. The primary is rated for 220V AC, which matches Egyptian mains supply. Do not connect it to a 110V supply, and insulate and fuse all mains-side connections.
