Frequently asked questions
Can I charge it directly from a 5V supply?
No. Do not charge a Li-ion cell directly from a fixed 5 V source. Use a Li-ion charger that stops at the 4.2 V charge cut-off, and use a protection circuit when building packs.
What does flat top mean, and does it matter?
Flat top means the positive terminal has no raised button. Some battery holders and connections are designed for button-top cells, so check the holder design before installing the cell.
