Use a K-type amplifier such as the MAX6675 (K-type only) or MAX31855. A thermocouple cannot be connected directly to a microcontroller pin.
How do I wire the probe?
Connect the two thermocouple wires to the amplifier's T+ and T- terminals, respecting polarity. Reversed wires give inaccurate readings.
