Frequently asked questions
Can I connect it directly to a 3.3V microcontroller?
Yes for the data lines. The serial TTL level is 3.3V, so the TX and RX pins are compatible with 3.3V boards such as ESP32. The module itself needs a 4.5V to 6V supply.
How do I wire the UART connection?
Connect the module's TX to the board's RX and the module's RX to the board's TX, with a shared GND. Confirm the pin labels on your module before wiring.
