About this product
A stainless steel trapezoidal lead screw with an 8 mm diameter, 2 mm pitch and 1000 mm length, supplied with a brass nut. It converts stepper motor rotation into precise linear motion for the Z axis or other axes of 3D printers and CNC machines. The trapezoidal thread is self-locking, so it holds its position without a brake.

Frequently asked questions
How far does one stepper step move the nut?
With a 1.8° stepper motor (200 full steps per revolution) and a 2 mm lead, each full step moves the nut 0.01 mm. Microstepping drivers reduce this distance further.
Does it need a coupler to connect to the motor?
Yes. Connect the screw to the stepper shaft with a shaft coupler, and support the far end with a bearing to reduce wobble and vibration, especially on long axes.
