About this product
An expansion pack for a small solar tracker. Two light sensors on opposite edges of the panel detect which side is brighter, and a servo motor turns the panel toward the light. The Arduino measures the panel output voltage through a voltage divider made of two 10 kΩ resistors. This kit measures voltage only and does not charge a battery. An Arduino Uno is required and is not included.

Frequently asked questions
Can this kit charge a battery?
No. The kit only measures the solar panel's output voltage. It has no charge controller, so it cannot charge a battery.
Why is a voltage divider used?
Two equal 10 kΩ resistors halve the panel voltage so the Arduino's analog input stays within its 5 V limit. This means the panel voltage should stay below about 10 V.
