Frequently asked questions
Can I use it with a 3.3 V microcontroller?
The device is specified for a 5 V supply (4.75 V to 5.25 V), so power it from 5 V. Check the input and output levels against your 3.3 V logic before connecting it.
How do I enable the outputs?
Pull the relevant output enable pin (1OE or 2OE) low to enable that bank of outputs. Drive it high to put the outputs in a high-impedance state so several devices can share a bus.
