About this product
The SN74LS147 is a TTL priority encoder that converts nine active-low data lines into a 4-bit BCD (8-4-2-1) output. Only the highest-order active input is encoded, and the decimal zero condition is implied when all nine inputs are high. It is used for keypad encoding and for converting multiple input lines into a compact BCD code.

Frequently asked questions
What is the price of SN74LS147 9-to-4 Line Priority Encoder (BCD) IC in Egypt?
SN74LS147 9-to-4 Line Priority Encoder (BCD) IC currently costs 20 EGP in Egypt.
Where can I buy SN74LS147 9-to-4 Line Priority Encoder (BCD) IC in Egypt?
SN74LS147 9-to-4 Line Priority Encoder (BCD) IC is available from UGE. Compare the offers above to find the best price.
How do I encode a keypad with this IC?
Connect each key to one of the nine data inputs, pulling unused inputs high. The outputs then give the BCD code of the highest-priority key pressed. When no key is pressed, the output shows the implied zero.
Why are the outputs inverted?
Both inputs and outputs are active at the low logic level. An active data line is pulled low, and the BCD outputs are low-true, so they must be read with that polarity in mind.
