About this product
A 1 W SMD power resistor in the R2512 package, rated at 51 kOhm with ±1% tolerance and a 100 ppm/°C temperature coefficient. It suits voltage dividers, pull-up or bias networks and current-limiting circuits that need a larger SMD body than 0805 or 0603 parts can offer.

Frequently asked questions
What is the advantage of the R2512 package over smaller SMD resistors?
The R2512 body is about 6.4 x 3.2 mm, which allows it to dissipate 1 W. Smaller packages such as 0805 or 0603 have much lower power ratings, so R2512 is used where heat dissipation matters.
Can a 51 kOhm resistor be used as an I2C pull-up?
It is generally too weak for standard I2C buses, which usually use pull-ups in the 2.2 kOhm to 10 kOhm range. A 51 kOhm value is better suited to high-impedance biasing or voltage dividers.
