Frequently asked questions
How do I connect this TVS diode?
Connect it in parallel with the line to be protected, between the line and ground. For a unidirectional device, the cathode (the banded end) goes to the protected positive line and the anode goes to ground. In normal operation it stays in reverse bias and does not conduct.
Which working voltage is suitable for this diode?
Its standoff voltage is 26 V, so the normal operating voltage of the protected line should be clearly below this value. It is generally suitable for lines up to about 24 V.
