The SG3524 is a PWM regulating controller with an on-chip reference regulator, error amplifier, programmable oscillator and pulse-steering flip-flop. It is used in switching regulators, transformer-coupled DC-DC converters, inverters and polarity converters, with complementary outputs for single-ended or push-pull operation.

Can its outputs drive a MOSFET directly?
The outputs are intended for a transistor stage or gate driver. Check the output current rating in the datasheet and add a driver stage if the MOSFET gate needs more current.
