Frequently asked questions
Does an active buzzer need a PWM signal to sound?
No. An active buzzer has its own internal oscillator, so applying DC voltage within its range is enough to produce the tone. A PWM signal is needed only for passive buzzers.
How do I connect it to an Arduino?
Connect the positive lead to a digital output pin or a suitable 5 V supply, and the negative lead to GND. If the current draw is higher than the pin can safely supply, drive it through a transistor.
