About this product
Complete kit for building a secret code box around an Arduino Uno R3 compatible board (ATmega328P). The 4x4 keypad receives the code, and the sketch compares it with the stored password. A correct code turns the servo to open the lock and lights a green LED. A wrong code sounds a buzzer three times. Educational, not a real security lock.

Frequently asked questions
Is a USB cable needed to upload the code?
Yes. The board is programmed over USB from a computer using the Arduino IDE. The listing states the board is supplied without a USB cable, so a USB-A to USB-B cable of the type used with Arduino Uno is needed.
Does the keypad need a library?
Yes. The project reads the matrix keypad with the Keypad library, and compares the entered text with the password using string comparison.
