Does it have an external trigger input?
Yes. Besides CH1 and CH2, it has an external trigger input (listed as Ext) that can be selected as the trigger source.
Does the probe setting matter for measurements?
Yes. The probe attenuation (1× or 10×) must match the setting on the oscilloscope, otherwise amplitude readings will be wrong. The input impedance is 1 MΩ in parallel with 15 pF.
