About this product
A color-changing lamp built around a 5mm common cathode RGB LED that mixes red, green and blue light. Each button press switches the color, and a rainbow mode fades smoothly through the spectrum. The Arduino sets the brightness of each color with PWM, producing many shades. This expansion version does not include the Arduino board or USB cable.

Frequently asked questions
What does common cathode mean for wiring?
All three colors share one common cathode leg, which connects to GND. Each color is driven by its own PWM pin through a 220 Ω resistor.
Which Arduino pins can be used for PWM?
On the Arduino Uno, PWM output is available on pins 3, 5, 6, 9, 10 and 11, marked with ~ on the board.
