Frequently asked questions
How do I wire a common-anode matrix?
The 32 pins are grouped into common anode lines and individual color cathode lines. Confirm the pin mapping in the datasheet, then drive the cathodes through current-limiting resistors or a driver, and multiplex rows or columns if you are controlling all 64 pixels from a microcontroller.
What current should each LED be driven with?
The listed forward voltage is 3.4 V maximum at 20 mA, which is the reference test condition. Use current limiting appropriate to the color and to your driver, and keep each channel within the datasheet limits.
