Frequently asked questions
Is the 40-pin GPIO header compatible with the Model B?
Yes for the first 26 pins. The header grew to 40 pins, but the first 26 keep the same pinout as the original Model B.
What power supply should I use?
The Pi is powered through its micro USB port at 5 V. Use a supply that can deliver enough current for the board and any peripherals connected to its USB ports.
