Frequently asked questions
Is this strip suitable for high-current battery packs?
It is thicker and wider than the 0.15 x 8 mm strip, so it suits higher current paths. Check the current requirement of your pack and size the strip accordingly.
Can I solder directly to nickel strip?
Nickel is difficult to solder with standard tin-lead solder because it oxidizes and resists wetting. Spot welding is the usual method for cell connections, and soldering needs flux and a higher-power iron.
