About this product
A programmable 8×8 LED matrix message board driven by a MAX7219 module. It shows three ready-made messages and a fourth message you type in the Arduino Serial Monitor, saved in EEPROM so it remains after power is removed. Two push buttons change the message and the scroll speed. This expansion version does not include the Arduino board or USB cable.

Frequently asked questions
How do I write a new message for the board?
After uploading the code, type your message in the Arduino Serial Monitor. The fourth message is saved in EEPROM, so it stays after the board is powered off.
Which driver chip controls the LED matrix?
The 8×8 matrix is driven by the MAX7219 module, which handles the LED multiplexing and communicates with the Arduino over a three-wire serial interface.
