It is designed for occasional calibration on a PCB. For a front-panel control that users turn often, use a rotary potentiometer with a shaft and knob.
How do I wire it as a variable voltage divider?
Connect the two outer pins to the supply and ground, and take the output from the centre pin (wiper). Turning the screw changes the voltage at the wiper.
