About this product
The PCA9555D from NXP adds 16 general-purpose I/O pins to a microcontroller over a two-wire I²C bus. It has two 8-bit ports that can each be set as inputs or outputs, an interrupt output, and address pins that let several devices share one bus.

Frequently asked questions
How do I wire it to an Arduino or ESP32?
Connect VDD, GND, SDA and SCL. Add pull-up resistors on SDA and SCL, commonly 4.7 kΩ to VDD, if your module does not have them. Set the I²C address with A0 to A2 tied to GND or VDD.
Can it work with 3.3 V systems?
Yes. The 2.3 V to 5.5 V supply range covers 3.3 V systems. Make sure the SDA and SCL pull-ups connect to the same supply as the chip.
