How is the current coil connected?
Pass at least one live conductor through the included coil, as described in the listing. Work on mains circuits only with the supply isolated, and preferably have a qualified electrician install it in a distribution panel.
Is it safe to connect directly to mains?
The meter is rated for a 85 to 250 V AC supply, which is mains level. Install it with the breaker off, inside a suitable enclosure, and follow local electrical safety rules.
