About this product
NTC thermistor designed to limit inrush current when a power supply or capacitive load is switched on. Its resistance is high when cold and drops as it heats, so it reduces the startup surge and has little effect during normal operation. It is installed in series with the input of a power supply.

Frequently asked questions
Where is it installed in a power supply?
Place it in series with the AC or DC input, before the bulk capacitor. Check that its current rating and power dissipation suit your load.
Why should I wait before power-cycling the circuit?
Once hot, its resistance stays low and it no longer limits inrush. Let it cool down before switching the circuit on again, otherwise surge limiting is reduced.
