Frequently asked questions
How do I use it with a reed switch or Hall sensor?
Position the magnet so its axis aligns with the sensor's sensitive direction, and keep the distance consistent for reliable triggering. Test the trigger distance on your own setup, since the listing does not give field strength values.
What safety precautions should I take?
Strong neodymium magnets can pinch fingers hard and chip or shatter when they snap together. Keep them away from pacemakers, magnetic storage media and sensitive electronics, and do not expose them to temperatures above 80 °C.
