About this product
A sound and light project where a gift box plays a melody when the lid opens. An LDR light sensor detects light inside the box, and the Arduino plays the tune on a passive buzzer while changing the colours of an RGB LED. The music stops when the lid closes. This expansion version does not include the Arduino board or USB cable.

Do I need to buy an Arduino board with this expansion kit?
Yes. The expansion version does not include an Arduino board or USB cable. The kit is designed for an Arduino Uno, so use an Uno or a compatible board to run the project.
Why does the project use a passive buzzer instead of an active one?
A passive buzzer needs the Arduino to generate the signal, so the code can change the frequency and play different notes. An active buzzer only beeps at one fixed pitch, which cannot play a melody.
