About this product
A compact step-down DC-DC converter module built around the MT2492 controller. It gives a fixed 5 V output up to 2 A from a 4.5 V to 16 V DC input and switches at 600 kHz. Listed protections include overcurrent, thermal shutdown, inrush current limiting and soft start, which suits powering 5 V logic and small boards from a higher DC source.

Connect the source to the pads labeled IN+ and IN-. The regulated 5 V output is taken from the pads labeled OUT+ and OUT-.
Can I power it from a 12 V supply?
Yes, the input range is 4.5 V to 16 V DC, so a 12 V DC supply is within range. Keep the load on the output at or below the 2 A maximum.
