About this product
A model house lighting project where each room is lit by its own LED. Four LEDs (two white and two yellow) each have a 1 kΩ resistor, and a 4-position DIP switch turns each room on or off. Powered by a 9V battery through a battery connector on a breadboard, it teaches open and closed circuits, parallel wiring and LED polarity without programming or soldering.

Frequently asked questions
Why is each LED paired with a resistor?
The 1 kΩ resistor limits the current through each LED so it is not damaged when connected to the 9V supply.
How do I connect the LEDs with the correct polarity?
The longer leg of an LED is positive and goes toward the positive side of the circuit; the shorter leg goes toward the negative side.
