About this product
A 4.7 kΩ negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor from the MF52 series, in which resistance decreases as temperature rises. It is a low-cost option for temperature sensing in hobby and student circuits and is normally read through a voltage divider connected to an analog input.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use a 10k fixed resistor with this 4.7k thermistor?
A fixed resistor closer to 4.7 kΩ gives a more balanced reading around room temperature. Choose the divider value based on the temperature range you need, then verify it with your circuit.
Is the thermistor safe to use with a 5 V supply?
The thermistor is a passive resistor, so the limit is its self-heating and the divider current. Keep the current low, for example by using a larger divider resistor, so the thermistor does not heat itself and skew readings.
