About this product
The MCP41010 is a single-channel 10 kΩ digital potentiometer from Microchip with 8-bit resolution, controlled over SPI. It replaces a mechanical potentiometer where the resistance must be adjusted by software, such as gain, volume or bias control. The listed package is SOP-8 surface mount.

Frequently asked questions
How do I connect it to an Arduino?
Use the SPI pins: on Uno-class boards, SCK goes to pin 13 and MOSI (SDI) goes to pin 11. Connect CS to any digital pin and power VDD and VSS. The device is write-only, so MISO is not needed.
Can it run from a 3.3 V supply?
Yes, if your supply is within its 2.7 V to 5.5 V range. Also make sure the control signals from your microcontroller are compatible with the voltage used.
