Frequently asked questions
Can I charge this cell with a 3V supply or a CR2032 charger?
No. A LIR2032 must be charged with a Li-Ion charger that limits the voltage to about 4.2V. Charging it from a fixed 3V source or treating it as a CR2032 can prevent a full charge or create a safety risk.
Can I replace a CR2032 with this LIR2032 cell?
Physically the size is similar, but the voltage is different (3.6V nominal against 3V). Check that your circuit tolerates 3.6V and that the holder or battery socket is designed for rechargeable cells before swapping.
