About this product
The Kyoritsu 2040 is a clamp meter that measures AC current up to 600 A by clamping around a conductor, without breaking the circuit. It also measures AC and DC voltage, resistance, continuity with a buzzer, and frequency and duty cycle, which suits electricians, technicians and students working on mains and industrial circuits.

Frequently asked questions
Can I measure current without disconnecting the wire?
Yes. Clamp the jaws around a single conductor to read AC current. Do not clamp live and neutral together, because their opposing currents cancel out and the reading will be wrong.
What power does the clamp meter need?
It uses two R03 (AAA, 1.5 V) batteries, as listed in the specifications.
