About this product
The KP-300 is a standard 4x4 matrix keypad with 16 press-type keys mounted on a PCB. It is wired in rows and columns, so eight microcontroller pins are enough to read every key. It is used for numeric entry, menus and control inputs in Arduino, ESP32 and other embedded projects.

Frequently asked questions
Is the wiring the same as the 3x4 keypad?
The matrix principle is the same, with rows and columns, but a 4x4 keypad has 8 connections instead of 7. Identify each connection with a continuity test before wiring, since the pin order is not standard across manufacturers.
How do I detect which key is pressed?
A key press connects one row to one column. Scanning the rows and reading the columns, which is handled by the Keypad library on Arduino, identifies the pressed key.
