About this product
ISO7241CDW is a quad-channel digital isolator with a silicon-dioxide isolation barrier, passing logic signals across galvanic separation at up to 25 Mbps. Three of its channels run in one direction and one in the reverse direction. It is used to isolate ground domains and protect sensitive microcontroller circuits from high-voltage or noisy sections.

Frequently asked questions
When do I need a digital isolator like this?
Use it when a logic signal must cross between circuits at different ground potentials, such as a microcontroller and a motor drive or a high-voltage sensing stage. The isolated side needs its own isolated power supply for the isolator to work.
Does each side need decoupling capacitors?
Yes. Place a bypass capacitor close to the supply pins on both the input and output sides. Check the datasheet for recommended capacitor values and the supply range required on each side.
