About this product
The IR1155S is a power factor correction controller IC that uses One Cycle Control to run a continuous-conduction-mode boost PFC stage with average current mode control. It is designed for AC line inputs from 85 to 264 VAC, with a programmable switching frequency from 48 kHz to 200 kHz. It is used in compact AC-DC supplies that need high power factor and low THD.

Frequently asked questions
How is the switching frequency set?
It is programmed with external components according to the datasheet, anywhere in the 48 kHz to 200 kHz range, based on your application's requirements.
Is it safe to use with mains input?
It is designed for 85-264 VAC line inputs, which are lethal. Work on mains circuits only with proper isolation, safety practices and a current-limited test setup, and preferably with experienced supervision.
