About this product
The Infrared Emitter Module is a simple 5 V transmitter that sends modulated infrared light at 38 kHz. It is used for IR remote control and short-range infrared communication with receivers tuned to the same frequency, such as the TSOP382. Common in TV, audio and home appliance remote projects.

Frequently asked questions
Which receiver works with this emitter?
Use a receiver tuned to 38 kHz, such as the TSOP382 IR receiver module sold in the same range. A 38 kHz receiver will ignore ambient light and respond only to the modulated signal from this emitter.
How do I drive the emitter from an Arduino?
Connect power to 5 V and GND, and connect the signal pin to a digital output. Generate the 38 kHz carrier and the data pattern in software, for example with an IR library such as IRremote, since the module expects a modulated signal.
