About this product
HT12E is a CMOS encoder IC for remote control systems that converts 12 address and data bits into a serial code. The code is sent with a header through an RF or infrared transmitter when the trigger input is activated. It is paired with a matching decoder such as the HT12D on the receiver side.

Frequently asked questions
Which decoder works with the HT12E?
The HT12D is the usual matching decoder. Set the address pins identically on the encoder and decoder, since only matching addresses will produce an output.
How is transmission triggered?
The encoder sends its code when the transmission enable pin (TE) is pulled low. Connect a push button or MCU output to this pin and add a transmitter module on the RF or IR side.
