About this product
HT12D is a CMOS decoder IC for RF or infrared remote-control receivers, designed to pair with an HT12E-type encoder. It decodes 8 address bits and 4 data bits and operates from 2.4 V to 12 V. This 18-pin SMD version is used in simple wireless remote-control projects.

Frequently asked questions
Which encoder should I use with the HT12D?
The HT12D is designed to decode data from an HT12E encoder. Set the address pins on the encoder and decoder to the same pattern, or the receiver will not respond to the transmitter.
What supply voltage does the HT12D need?
The HT12D operates from 2.4 V to 12 V. A 5 V supply is a common choice for projects that also use standard logic devices, and the standby current is very low.
