About this product
The HEF4066BT is a quad single-pole, single-throw CMOS bilateral analog switch. Each switch has two input/output terminals and an active-high enable input. Its inputs include clamp diodes, which allow current-limiting resistors when a signal goes above the supply voltage. It is used for signal routing and analog multiplexing.

Frequently asked questions
Can I switch signals that exceed the supply voltage?
The inputs have clamp diodes, so a current-limiting resistor can be used when a signal goes above VDD. For normal operation, keep the signal within the supply rails.
How do I enable or disable a switch?
Drive the enable input HIGH to turn the switch on; when it is LOW, the switch is off. Tie unused enable inputs to a defined logic level rather than leaving them floating.
