Frequently asked questions
Does this multimeter select ranges automatically?
No. Range selection is manual, so set the rotary switch to a range higher than the value you expect to measure before connecting the probes.
What are the maximum voltages I should measure?
The meter is rated for up to 1000 V DC and 700 V AC between the terminal and ground. The mA ranges are protected by a 500 mA / 250 V fuse, so do not connect the current jacks across a voltage source.
