About this product

The FR157 is a 1000 V, 1.5 A fast recovery rectifier diode in an axial DO-15 package. It is designed for high-frequency rectification, switching power supplies, inverters and freewheeling paths where fast reverse recovery matters. The glass-passivated junction helps keep its reverse characteristics stable.

Frequently asked questions

What is the price of GOODWORK FR157 Fast Recovery Rectifier Diode 1000V 1.5A DO-15 in Egypt?

GOODWORK FR157 Fast Recovery Rectifier Diode 1000V 1.5A DO-15 currently costs 2 EGP in Egypt.

Where can I buy GOODWORK FR157 Fast Recovery Rectifier Diode 1000V 1.5A DO-15 in Egypt?

Can the FR157 replace a 1N4007 in a rectifier circuit?

In many cases yes. The FR157 has the same 1000 V reverse rating as the 1N4007, a higher current rating of 1.5 A, and much faster reverse recovery. For 50/60 Hz mains rectification the 1N4007 is also suitable, but the FR157 is the better choice for high-frequency switching circuits.

How do I orient the FR157 correctly?

The cathode is marked by a color band on one end of the body. Current flows from anode to cathode when the diode is forward biased. In a rectifier or freewheeling path, the banded end normally faces the positive output side.
