Where should this fuse be installed?
Install it in series on the live (positive or phase) line of the circuit, inside a 6x30 mm fuse holder, so the whole load current passes through it.
Can I use a higher-rated fuse so it stops blowing?
No. A fuse rated well above the circuit's normal current removes protection and can allow wiring or components to overheat. Choose a rating close to the maximum expected current of your circuit.
