About this product

A 5-pin SPDT general purpose relay with a 12V DC coil and a 10A contact rating, using the common automotive-style pin layout. It switches a load on or off from a low-power control signal, such as a microcontroller output driving a transistor, for lights, pumps, fans and other 12V devices.

Frequently asked questions

What is the price of General Purpose SPDT Relay 12V DC Coil 10A 5-Pin in Egypt?

General Purpose SPDT Relay 12V DC Coil 10A 5-Pin currently costs between 10 and 15 EGP across 3 offers in Egypt.

Where can I buy General Purpose SPDT Relay 12V DC Coil 10A 5-Pin in Egypt?

General Purpose SPDT Relay 12V DC Coil 10A 5-Pin is available from Makers Electronics, Microohm, and Ekostra. Compare the offers above to find the best price.

How do I wire a standard 5-pin SPDT relay?

Pins 85 and 86 are the coil: apply 12V to one and ground the other. Pin 30 is the common contact, pin 87 is normally open (connects to 30 when the coil is energized), and pin 87a is normally closed (connected to 30 when the coil is off).

Do I need protection when driving it from a microcontroller?

Yes. Drive the coil through a transistor or a relay driver module, and place a flyback diode such as the 1N4007 across the coil, with its cathode toward the positive supply, to suppress the voltage spike when the coil switches off.
