About this product
The FT232BL is a lead-free version of FTDI's FT232BM, the second-generation USB to UART bridge IC. It lets a PC communicate with serial (UART) devices over USB, which is useful for programming and debugging interfaces and for building USB serial adapters. The same functionality is also offered in the QFN-32 FT232BQ package.

No. It is a bare IC that needs supporting circuitry as described in the FTDI datasheet. For a ready-made board, use a USB-to-serial breakout module built around a similar chip.
