About this product
A square force sensitive resistor (FSR) measuring 40x40 mm, whose resistance decreases as pressure is applied to its sensing area. It is used in force, pressure and presence detection projects, typically read through a voltage divider connected to an analog input. Its response is not linear, so calibrate it for your application.

Frequently asked questions
How do I read this sensor with an Arduino?
Build a voltage divider with a fixed resistor and connect the midpoint to an analog pin. The reading rises or falls with force depending on which side of the divider the FSR is on. Choose the fixed resistor value based on the force range you need.
Can it be used for accurate weight measurement?
It is suited to detecting presence or approximate force levels. Its response is non-linear and varies between units, so for accurate weight measurement a load cell is the better choice.
