Do I need an insulating washer with the TO-220F package?
The fully isolated package keeps the tab electrically separate from the pins, so it can often be bolted directly to a heatsink. Still confirm the isolation rating in the datasheet for your application.
Is this MOSFET suitable for mains-voltage circuits?
Its 600 V rating is high enough for some mains-derived designs, but mains circuits require proper isolation, creepage distances and safety engineering. Do not use it on mains without a qualified design review.
