About this product
The FP6298 is a current-mode step-up (boost) DC-DC converter IC with a built-in 0.08 Ω, 4.5 A power MOSFET and a fixed 500 kHz PWM frequency. It raises a lower input voltage to an adjustable output of up to 9 V, and its internal soft-start limits inrush current. It is housed in a compact SOP-8 package for space-saving PCB designs.

Frequently asked questions
How is the output voltage set?
Use an external resistor divider on the feedback pin. The reference is 0.6 V ±2%, so the divider ratio sets the output, up to 9 V according to the listing.
Does it work without external components?
No. A boost converter needs an external inductor, rectifier diode and input and output capacitors. The internal compensation network reduces the number of external parts, but the values must follow the manufacturer's application circuit.
